Windsor Conference

2010 Windsor Conference
ADAPTING TO CHANGE - NEW THINKING ON COMFORT 9th - 11th April 2010, Cumberland Lodge, Windsor, United Kingdom

  • The 2010 Windsor Conference was held on 9th-11th Apil 2010 at the Cumberland Lodge conference Centre in Windsor Great Park. Hosted by the Network for Comfort and Energy Use in Buildings (NCEUB) and the Low Energy Architecture Research Unit (LEARN), it was attended by 88 delegates, representing 22 countries across 6 continents.

A special issue of Building Research and Information is planned based on selected papers from the conference.

2008 Windsor Conference
AIR CONDITIONING and the LOW CARBON COOLING CHALLENGE

  • The 2008 Windsor Conference was held on 27th-29th July 2008 at the Cumberland Lodge conference Centre in Windsor Great Park. Hosted by the Network for Comfort and Energy Use in Buildings (NCEUB) and the Low Energy Architecture Research Unit (LEARN), it was attended by around 77 delegates, representing 18 countries across 6 continents.

A special issue of Building Research and Information has been published (Vol 37 (4) July/August 2009), based on selected papers from the conference.

2006 Windsor Conference

The Network for Comfort and Energy Use in Buildings (NCEUB) and the Low Energy Architecture Research Unit (LEARN) organised the 2006 Windsor Conference, which was held at the Cumberland Lodge Conference Centre from 27th-30th April 2006 and attended by around 66 delegates, representing 22 countries.

2004 Windsor Conference

A special issue of Building Research and Information has been published (Vol 33 (4) 2005), based on selected papers from the conference.

2001 Windsor Conference

The Windsor comfort conference in 2001 (see selected papers in Research Index) together with that from 1994 were central to the changing approach to comfort in recent years. They provided room for the key debates to be conducted in a convivial and at the same time scholarly environment. Key papers from these conferences were published in books and journals that have become essential reading.

A special issue of Energy and Buildings has been published (Vol 34, no 6, 2002), based on selected papers from the conference.

1994 Windsor Conference

The proceedings from the 1994 conference were published in the book Standards for Thermal Comfort (Eds Nicol, Humphreys, Sykes and Roaf), London E & FN Spon 1995
